A little about me
I was born in the suburbs of Chicago and grew up in the suburbs of St. Louis. Similar to most wannabe Disney channel stars from the suburbs, I have been belting Disney princess songs since the moment I could talk. This was often despite the fact that my parents, friends, and teachers would beg me to stop singing in the house, the hallways, during class, etc... I have been performing and creating theatre for as long as I can remember. Growing up I was in every theatre summer camp. I was in every school show (playing boys and old ladies). I was even working backstage for every single performance I wasn't onstage for. It is the one passion that has always stuck.
I am proud alumni of Drake University where I received my B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. At Drake I learned how to turn passion into hard work. I learned to love and be loved. Some of my favorite memories at Drake include starring as Marie in Fiorello! and directing Solved: The Mathletes Musical written by Violet Saylor. While at school I also enjoyed working for theaters such as The Des Moines Playhouse, Stagewest Theatre, The Repertory Theatre of Iowa and Des Moines Onstage.
About two years ago, I made the move from Iowa to NYC and since moving a lot has happened! I co-founded and am now Producing Artistic Director of Thousand Faced Theatre Company. Working with some college alumni our mission is to produce new theatre and bring new voices/perspectives to the stage. For more information about our company please visit www.thouasandfacedtheatre.com! I also just finished starring as astrophysicist Amy Leonardo in The Eleventh Hour that had an 11 week run at Town Stages in NYC! I'm also a proud student and occasionally employee of Lindsay Mendez and Ryan Scott Oliver's Actor Therapy and recently performed one of my favorite song's "The Ballad of Sara Berry" at Feinstein's 54 Below for their student showcase! Since moving I have performed at venues including: Dixon Place, The Green Room 42, Theatre for the New City, Don't Tell Mama, 53 Above and more! Outside of theatre, I spend my time doing lots of yoga, working at the best coffee shop in the city (Champion Coffee), having games nights with friends, and trying to travel when there is time and money!
